Rachel Petersen, M.D., FACOGProfessional Education & TrainingDr. Rachel Rockman Petersen completed her undergraduate work at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She then attended LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans on the Air Force Health Professions Scholarship. She received her residency training at Keesler Air Force Base in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Petersen served her country for 8 years on active duty in the United States Air Force before fulfilling her commitment in 2007 and moving into private practice in Huntsville Alabama. Dr. Petersen is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a member of the North American Society for pediatric and adolescent gynecology. She takes a special interest in high risk obstetrics, pediatric/adolescent gynecology, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Dr. Petersen is skilled in use of the Da vinci Robot for robotic surgery. She is actively licensed to practice medicine in Alabama and Louisiana, and is a member in good standing of the American Medical Association. Dr. Petersen is credentialed in obstetrics and gynecology at both Crestwood Medical Center and Huntsville hospital. Share Your Story |
